Pagerank where did it go and why doesn’t it change?
Posted by Barry in General, PageRankPragerank was developed by a co-founder from Google, his name was Lary Page. Many many people think pagerank may be coming to a end. Whats so good about page rank? Its a statisical stat! All webmaster like looking at stats and of course they like to make them better. Page ranking is from 0-10, 0 being the not so very good ranked site and 10 being the best. Not surprisingly Google has a 10 rank!
This site is currently ranked as a 0 since it has sat empty for a long period of time. It once was ranked as high as 5. Do I think the ranking will change from a 0? I currently do not think so! Why? It has been rumorred that google is going to release a new ranking method and thus getting rid of the old PageRank system. Does it bother me? Not really!
Lots of webmasters sell links based on pagerank, as it is believed the higher page rank that links to your site the better chance your ranking will be higher. Several webmasters will sell and buy links on websites for this sole purpose making the PageRank system kind of flawed. Since PageRank may be done with what is google going to do next?
There are tons of theorys floating arround the internet that google has abandoned PageRank but there are equal theroies that google is updating the PageRank system so that webmasters who buy site links on sites with a higher page rank will not get a higher ranking. PageRank update is about 3 months behind at this point so who knows if it will update? What do you guys think?
